Q: Why don't any of the effects work in Firefox? I have built several different types of menus and they don't work the same in firefox as they do in IE. Is there a way to fix this? i.e. adding any html code or anything?
A: Yes, it is really so. Firefox supports only transparency of the menu.
Visual effects work in IE only. other browsers don't support them.

Q: How do you specify different number of sub menu columns for each menu heading in the dhtml menu bar?
When I put var smColumns = 5; it changed it for both my multicolumn headings.

Q: How do I add padding around a top item in the javascript menu buttons?
A: You should specify itemPadding parameter in "px".
You shouldadd "px" in your style for subitems:

Notice also that you can set multiple value for itemPadding parameter,for example:

Q: I can't figure out how to get menu items to swap images to use like a traditional image rollover. In the Dhtml menu, I can change the style background without needing images, or I can use generic images as a background, but I have situations where I need to use unique images for each state of a button.
These unique image buttons contain text and graphics, and there are different images for different states: normal, mouse over, mouse down.
A: The menu has only two states normal and mouseover.
You should use Individual Item Styles.
